Circular chart recorders rotate the paper around a central axis and record your data (temperature, pressure, voltage, flow, etc.) for fixed duration processes. Circular chart recorders use one or more pens to record over a fixed time, be it 1 hour, 1 day, seven days, or one month. These recorders are useful for batch processes and record data the the entirety of the batch.
Strip chart recorders use one or more pens to record to a roll or strip of chart paper. These recorder are useful for continuious processes. Usefull in the laboratory as well as continuous process applications, these recorders pass the chart paper linearly beneath recording pens.
